Who We Are
Kalen Benakafel Children, Elderly & Mentally Disabled Charity Centre is a community-based humanitarian organization located in Gondar, Ethiopia, committed to serving some of the most vulnerable members of society.
Established on July 31, 2018, our organization was founded with a simple but powerful purpose: to provide care, dignity, and hope for elderly people without support, orphaned children, and individuals living with mental disabilities.
We believe that no one should be abandoned, forgotten, or left without compassion. Through dedicated service and community support, we work every day to create a safe and caring environment where lives can be restored.

Who Are We
As part of this vision, Kalen Benakafel has secured 3.5 hectares of land from the city administration and is currently designing a large-scale care and rehabilitation facility. This future center will provide a safe, structured, and dignified environment where beneficiaries can receive continuous care, rehabilitation, and improved living conditions.

To improve the lives of vulnerable individuals, especially elderly people, orphaned children, and persons with mental disabilities, by providing access to basic needs, restoring dignity, and delivering compassionate, hands-on support.
